At Teen Art Awards Qatar, we respect your privacy and protect your personal information in line with Qatar’s Personal Data Privacy Protection Law (PDPPL, Law No. 13 of 2016). This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. What we collect
• Name, age, and school/study information
• Country of representation and confirmation of Qatar residency
• Contact details (email, phone if provided)
• Artwork files, descriptions, and related information
• Social media links (if you choose to share them)
• How you heard about Teen Art Awards
2. How we use your information
We process your data with your explicit consent or where necessary to run the Awards, to:
• Manage your participation and entries
• Contact you about your submission and programme updates
• Showcase artworks (with credit) in exhibitions, catalogues, or online galleries
• Share aggregated stats (e.g., number of participants) without identifying individuals
• Coordinate with schools and partners for programme purposes (only with your consent)
3. How we protect your information
• We use appropriate technical and organisational safeguards; only authorised staff and partners can access your data.
• If a data breach occurs, we will notify the regulator and affected participants within 72 hours, as required by Qatar law.
4. Sharing your information
We may share your data only with:
• Qatar Museums and official programme partners (for exhibitions, awards, mentorships)
• Trusted service providers (e.g., hosting/email platforms) under confidentiality obligations
• The jury and mentors to evaluate your work fairly
Some providers may process data outside Qatar. When that happens, we take steps to ensure protection consistent with PDPPL (e.g., contracts, security controls, and—where needed—your consent).
We will never sell your data.
5. Your rights (PDPPL)
You can:
• Request a copy of your personal data
• Ask us to correct or delete your data
• Object to processing or withdraw consent at any time
• File a complaint with the supervisory authority if you believe your rights are violated

Teen Art Awards is for ages 13–17. By participating, you confirm you have told your parent/guardian and have their permission to take part.
